Your orders are with the restaurant

Resto provides the technology. The restaurant you order from sets its menu, prices, hours, delivery area and loyalty rules, prepares your food, and is responsible for it, including allergen and ingredient information. Questions about an order, a refund or the food itself go to the restaurant.

Accounts

• An account is needed to place an order. Give accurate details and keep your sign-in private.
• You are responsible for orders placed from your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from your profile.

Orders and payments

• Prices, taxes and fees are shown before you pay. Payment is taken by card through Stripe when you place the order.
• An order is accepted once payment succeeds. The restaurant may still cancel it, for example if an item is unavailable, and a cancelled paid order is refunded to your card, usually within 5–10 business days.
• Pickup and delivery times are estimates.

Loyalty points and promotions

Points and promotions are offered by each restaurant under its own rules. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred, can only be used at the restaurant that issued them, and may change or end.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no fraudulent orders or payments, no attempts to access other people's accounts or data, no interfering with the service's operation, and no unlawful, abusive or misleading content in reviews. We may suspend accounts that do.

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.

The service

We work to keep Resto available and accurate, but it is provided as is, and it may occasionally be unavailable or contain errors. To the extent the law allows, Scient Solutions is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Restaurants

Restaurants that use Resto do so under a separate subscription agreement with Scient Solutions. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement applies to the restaurant.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
